And that's a giant leap backward for women
Amerikkka - what are you allowing the GQP to do? Wake up.
America - WTAF?
I’ve been watching Moms For Liberty the last little while and I must admit I can almost hear Nick’s grandmother rolling over in her grave.
Not to mention all the women who fought so hard for so many decades to secure some semblance of woman’s rights.
For those of you who don’t know - from Wiki - “Moms for Liberty is an American conservative 501 nonprofit organization that advocates against school curriculums that mention LGBT rights, race, critical race theory, and discrimination, while multiple chapters have also campaigned to ban from school libraries books that address gender and sexuality issues.”
I spoke with one of their members who asked not to be named, a Guinevere Hastings from New Haven, Connecticut. You can reach her at (860) 555-1212 anytime day or night. Or drop by her house at 1313 Mocking Bird Lane anytime for a nice cup of Sanka or decaf tea.
She told me, “We want all kids brought up with the same education we had. No mention of anything different from what I was taught in Sunday school. My Sunday school had a strict “NO REALITY” rule. Nothing that wasn’t taught in the New Testament. The Old Testament was far too frightening and close to reality for most of the kids and congregation. We do quote Hitler however. Just a little heads-up there.
“This is just a beginning,” Mrs. Hastings told me, “ultimately we would like the right to vote taken away from women and we want it made illegal for women to work outside the home. Who has time for an office job? There’s enough cleaning and cooking, knitting and darning of socks to do right here in our homes. As a matter of fact, when I gave birth to our little Jedediah I was in the middle of polishing the floors. I finished the floors, gave birth and still had enough time to cook a nice roast beef for dinner for my man.”
I asked about working remotely via the internet.
“Oh good gosh - no!” she exclaimed.
“We don’t allow the internet in our homes. No remote working. We are not allowed to even have a cell phone. We still have dial phones in our homes. Once you let the internet into your house you open up a whole cornucopia of sin in the form of information.”
I nodded towards the 56 inch television in the living room, “What about that?”
“That’s for news. It only gets Fox and Newsmax.”

"I spoke with one of their members who asked not to be named..."
The next phrase made me LOL and I thank you for that and for the whole piece!
