Cruz scrubs plan for Australian winter "2021 runaway and hide"
"Stay out of our country - we've got enough problems with ScoMo and his liberal bunch. we don't need more white fascists" - Gov Gunner
Ted Cruz was spanked, had his hands slapped, and massive ego deflated over the weekend after he insulted Northern Territory Governor Michael Gunner by comparing Oz to Texas while he was pontificating on COVID, suggesting, “We’ll just ignore it, and it will go away. You know - like a cold that’s run its course”.
Cruz said last week while addressing the strict dealing of the COVID situation in Australia, “I love the Aussies. Their history of rugged independence is legendary; I’ve always said Australia is the Texas of the Pacific. The COVID tyranny of their current government is disgraceful and sad. Individual liberty matters. I stand with the people of Australia.”
Gunner excoriated the Texas Republican for his state’s horrific coronavirus death rate, and lackadaisical dealing with the pandemic saying, “I’m glad we are nothing like you.”
He continued, “We don’t need your lectures, thanks mate. You know nothing about us. And if you stand against a life-saving vaccine, then you sure as hell don’t stand with Australia.”
Sensing the vibe, Cruz has had to scrap plans for this year’s second annual “winter runaway and hide tour” scheduled for Australia during the first Texas winter storm this year.
“So I’ve got to choose another destination - it’s no big deal. I escaped last year with no problems. Texans have extremely short memories. They’ve forgotten all about Cancun. Just like they’ve already forgotten the whole signal stealing thing with the Yankees. This year there’s no family involved. Makes me too visible and slows me down. And makes me far too easy to find.”
“The plan now is to slip off with Bannon and Stone, although scuttlebutt has it, they may be tied up with some kind of hearing concerning events in DC in early January of last year. Maybe I’ll see if Rudy is free. He should have a lot of time; I know he’s not practicing law these days. Money may be an issue for him though. Or so I hear.”
