GQP proposes no legislation in election years
"We're pretty busy fabricating lies in even numbered years."
Just saw an article where a senator (a proponent of same-sex marriage) feels that codifying same-sex marriages in an election year might not be a good idea.
I’m getting the feeling that many in the GOP would like to make their jobs part time - just work every second year.
I got thinking about this absurd notion and thought I would check in with a few of the people siphoning taxpayer dollars to obstruct the smooth operation of the government of the United States.
These are some of their comments…
Mitch McConnell - “No appointments to SCOTUS unless we control Congress.”
Sue Collins - “Having to work every year has me perplexed and confused.”
Joe Manchin - “I’d like to spend more time on my yacht and doing a little coal mining. I can’t live on a Senator’s salary. Do you have any idea of how much it costs to run a yacht and keep a Maserati properly maintained.”
Matt Gaetz - “I do a lot of work with young people, this will give me more time to spend with them.”
Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert - “But who will pay attention to us?”
Jim Jordan - “Makes absolutely no difference to me. I do fuck-all at work anyway.”
Marsha Blackburn - “Great idea. I’ll have time to get my hair done.”
Ted Cruz - “My family hates it when I spend time with them. I guess I could spend more time in Cancun.”
Chuck Grassley - “I could spend the time napping and yelling at people to get off my lawn.”
Rand Paul - “I don’t like having that much time at home. I’m a neighborhood target. I get beat up a lot.”
Marco Rubio - “Get the fuck out of here cat. Whoops! Sorry, I meant to say - get thee behind me Satan.”
