I'm done with US politics
One last post before we leave for India
My kitty senses suspect that American women were forbidden from voting.
I heard a rumor that one husband from the south chained his wives and four daughters to the still in the cellar.
Other husbands told their wives and daughters not to worry their pretty heads about voting as he would do their voting for them.
“You girls don’t worry about voting - you’ve got enough to worry your pretty little heads about - finding a husband, housekeeping, laundry and the girls have no time to vote - it’s midterm time in their Home Ec classes.
“I’ll take care of voting for all of you. And don’t forget to wash the windows.
“And I won’t be home until late - me and the guys are going drinking - heavily - it’s the only way to vote. Besides I have a Grade Six education - I understand politics.”
