Liz "Lettuce" Truss, short lived UK PM, wants to meddle in US politics
Anything to stay in the public eye
A story about Liz ‘Lettuce Life” Truss’s backing of Trump in The Guardian on Monday compelled me to have a wee chat with the shortest serving PM in UK political history.
“I picked Trump because we have so much in common. Both our surnames begin with ‘TRU’ and both have five letters, I’m a big believer in numerology.
“And I loved the way he gave his daughter, the clothing merchant, a high position in his administration. He’s clearly a supporter of women’s rights.”
The obvious question was why was she poking around in American politics at this particular time?
"Well Tom, as I told Larry the No 10 Cat, I am so irrelevant here in the UK, I thought I could get some attention by sticking my nose into US politics. I miss the spotlight, as short-lived as it was.
“That fucking head of lettuce outlasted my leadership.
“And by the way, apparently Larry was the popular choice of most Britons at that time.
“I tried my best, I honestly did. I listened to every bit of advice that Rishi Sunak gave me. None of it seemed to work.
“I love the fact that Rishi cared enough to shepherd me thru the trials and tribulations of such a lofty position.
“I am so happy that he seems to be enjoying the love the British people have for him and my fellow Tories. And I wish him all the best for the future.”
