Missing Senate GOP candidate Herschel Walker found campaigning in Atlantic City
"Atlanta, Atlantic City? How the hell am I supposed to know the difference? I'm from Texas."
Conspicuously absent from the Georgia campaign trail these past few days, GOP Senate candidate Herschel Walker has been found wandering the streets of Atlantic City, New Jersey - shaking hands and kissing babies.
“We have no freaking idea why he’s up here. But it’s really starting to creep us out. A lot of people have called the police on him,” Atlantic City resident and croupier Harold Williams told us.
We managed to catch up with Herschel at an invite-only event and queried him as to the reason for him being in Atlantic City as he was being unceremoniously escorted out of the venue.
“I don’t know if you’ve heard, but I’m in a run-off senate election with a religious guy from Georgia. I’m campaigning. And I have to admit I’m really enjoying the gambling and the girls here. I’m sure I’ve seen a few of my kids here. We used to come here a lot when I was in college.”
We drew his attention to the fact that he seemed to be confusing Atlanta with Atlantic City and asked where his campaign team was.
“Atlanta, Atlantic City. How the hell am I supposed to know the difference? I'm from Texas. And I never studied geology in college. I was there to play ball. My campaign team seems to have given up on me and told me that I was on my own.”
