Mouse tidies up mess - I need one
Cats could choose to do that if we wanted to - we choose not to.
The internet is buzzing about the ‘cute little mouse’ tidying up a mess left by a human.
This is exactly what I need.
Nick, my man-servant is constantly berating me for leaving my toys lying around the house.
I tend to leave them wherever they are when I’m done with them. Sometimes I will return to them and play with them a little more - but that does not happen often.
Also, a lot of them end up under the fridge or sofa - just out of reach.
However, more often than not, I get bored with them and never play with them again, leaving them where they lie. Nick does not like this and tells me so.
Loudly.
Especially when he steps on the pointed ones.
Recently I discovered something called Legos. One of the best cat toys ever invented. The noise they make as you bat them around is glorious.
I picked one up when I was next door amusing the neighbors and their male child. The little guy was building something with his Legos and I started batting them around.
It was the most satisfying sound I have ever heard.
So I did what any cat would do. I stole a couple and carried them home. After a week or so I had enough to build a house and chase the pieces around on the marble floors in our apartment. The sound of the clattering Legos was very soul soothing.
Nick freaked out loudly when he realized from where I getting them. He scooped up all he could find and returned them to the neighbor boy and apologized for half an hour.
I had just seen the video of the tidy mouse and it hit me. If I had an anally retentive mouse this conflict would never happen.
So I caught a mouse and brought it home, told it to get to work, and waited and watched as the rodent proceeded to defecate and urinate all over the place.
I was amused. Nick was not.
The mouse on the video must have been a special mouse.
The US House of Representatives should get one.
