Glenn Kessler - clearly a lack of real news

Washington Post fact-checker Glenn Kessler hit rock bottom today. 

I blame it on Joe Biden. 

Since Spanky packed up his band of idiots and fled DC for the land of COVID there has been a scarcity of idiocy and lies to check, unless you’re hanging with MTG, Boebert, and the pimp known as Gaetz.

In today’s fact check, Kessler grasped at a throwaway line from a recent POTUS address in Atlanta. He expressed concern over Biden’s words about Joe’s own ‘arrests’. Joe’s words were tongue in cheek, meant to be humorous, and they were. I’m just a cat and I understood this. 

Kessler wrote about past comments made by Joe in which he talks about his arrests for political activism and a panty raid and so on. Innocuous stuff. Certainly nothing on which a newspaper should waste column inches. And nothing that warrants reading.

The comments section after the fact check indicate illiterate MAGAts were also reading. Clearly, they didn’t bother with spellcheck or anything of the sort. WaPo has an edit function for readers’ comments and the MAGAts seem unfamiliar with the use of it. Or they didn’t know the correct spelling in order to utilize the function. 

The comments were about what you’d expect - laughable.

I kind of feel sorry for Glenn. Clearly, he had nothing to write about today and somehow felt this was newsworthy. I know the feeling. This piece is an example of what you write about when not much is happening.

BTW, you will never see a fact check on a cat. It would be futile.
