PM Rishi Sunak recommends a homeless man in line at a soup kitchen "get a job in business"
"It's done wonders for me."
Taking full advantage of a photo op and free press coverage, PM Rishi Sunak was seen serving barely edible food to the poorly clothed homeless at one of the few soup kitchens still in operation. Sunak was warmly dressed -he arrived wearing a heavy winter coat and at least one jumper even though he would be in a warm kitchen for most of the two hours.
It has been rumoured that reductions in taxes to banks are partially to blame for the reduction in facilities for the homeless, school children and the elderly.
A couple of hours working in a soup kitchen or meal centre is an annual required act of humanity ordered by Jacob Rees-Mogg. It’s a Tory party mandated required act of public service that Tories are forced to do in order to get photos for the next election campaign.
Taking full advantage of the situation, Rishi thought it would be good PR to strike up a conversation with the starving, homeless patrons, asking one of the hungry what it was they did for a living and if they lived "near to this eatery.”
The man stared at his feet and replied, “I’m homeless, I live on the streets and I am unemployed and have been told by my Tory MP that I am unemployable,” the late-fifties man replied, seemingly unaware of who was serving him.
The man wondered aloud, “What freaking business is my situation of concern to him. He advised me to work in the finance industry, saying that it has really opened doors for him personally. He told me that I should get a job in business.”
After the encounter he commented, “Now either this sodding wanker was pissed or stoned. Or he was mentally deficient.
“The other workers had to keep explaining everything to him. The meal was shite as expected, but I am not used to being publicly shamed at these places.
“I’m going back to getting my meals from the restaurant trash bins and dumpsters. You don’t have to deal with arseholes like this clown. I’d rather go back to fighting rats and birds for a crust of bread. Most of the shelters have been shut down anyway. I may be able to sleep in a nice garbage dumpster. The poor man’s shelter.”

We realize that this winter is fiscally hard for all. But if you are able, please donate to a shelter or food kitchen in your area.
I really don’t want you to pay for a subscription to my column - but please do sign up for a free subscription and maybe donate $3 occasionally for our shelter animal snack fund when and if you can.
I realize that this winter is and is going to be brutal and leave a lot of people in dire straits - so don’t worry about it if you can’t.
Staying fed, warm and looking after your family and pets is far more important.
