Police forces recycling mass shooting weapons

Ah- capitalism - gotta love it

Chris Jansing - one of my favorite MSNBC anchors and a hero of mine - she saved us from Chuck Todd - broadcast a piece of news on April 11 that shocked me to my very kitty core.

Apparently, in the USA, guns used in the commitment of a crime - mass shootings, hold ups, kidnapping - you know - all the favorites - the guns are sold or recycled.

She made the announcement while covering a mass shooting at a funeral home. (I get the irony - cats are good at irony).

Now, while I am all for recycling - I get most of my toys and food thru a manner of recycling (i.e. trash bins) - I draw the line at weapons. Can you imagine a pissed off cat or a recently castrated doberman with a gun. I shudder to think.

Thank goodness we don’t have opposable thumbs.

I think primarily of a few man-servants who are slow to change the litter or fill the food bowl. These damn ‘beans’ of mine, while they serve a purpose, are useless when attempting to operate a can opener.

Back in Canada, where I was conceived, weapons used in the commitment of a crime are confiscated and destroyed. Makes sense, right?

I’m dizzy from trying to get my head around all this. How does the GOP deal with it - or are they perpetually dizzy.

How do the Trumpers deal - as one would expect - crickets.

“Well at least perfectly good weapons are not going to waste.”

I’m not positive but I think most civilized countries destroy said weapons - of course the rest of the world doesn’t have the magnitude of murders that America does.
