Voting is like having sex - it doesn't stay done.
Voted in 2020? Think you've done your civic duty until 2024? Wrong.
Beware people.
Whack job MAGAts vote.
Most of them have little else to do - maybe a Trump rally, a church service, a little violent protesting, a NASCAR race or two and the occasional bible reading - for those who can read - but that’s about it. So they have a lot of free time.
They’ll be sure to vote in November - let’s make sure we do as well.
A couple of sentences in an op-ed column by Dana Milbank in the WaPo today gave me the tiniest bit of hope…
“For the first time in the modern era, momentum has shifted toward an incumbent president’s party at this point in a midterm election year.
Democrats just gained a small (0.5 percentage points) advantage over Republicans in what’s known as the “generic ballot” — when voters are asked which party’s candidate they will support for Congress.”
One-half of one percentage point - not really a lot and it’s only August. A lot can change.
I have little faith in polls but that was a bit of good news when good news is in short supply.
So c’mon #BlueCrew let’s GOTV.
We need a little hope. Thanks.
