Long story short they have decided inside the house is even better, especially when it’s below freezing and several feet of snow on the ground. I have to say though they do a great job of keeping the rodents away. But I did have to take down the bird feeders though. It just wasn’t fair to the birds

“It just wasn’t fair to the birds” 🤣

We had an outdoor cat in Colorado. (Well, in the summer she was. In the winter she liked the view from inside way better.)

One day we got a call from a neighbor a 1/2 mile away explaining (at length) why indoor cats are happier and why we should keep our cat inside. Turns out Dot was decimating the chipmunk population around her house. We figured out when she left for work and didn’t let Dot out until then.

Rodent droppings on your balcony? Yuck! I've assumed that the balcony scents to which my canine furbaby alerts each morning were left by wild birds or insects.

RODENTS?Nooo!

No droppings, anyway -- I checked. But, just in case, Tom, does your feral posse make USA house calls?

They'd love to. But I must warn you - it's hard to get them to leave the party.

I can attest to that. My 15 feral rescues decided not to leave even after I live trapped them and to the vet for neuter, Spay and shots. They decided they had it pretty good with the food and shelter available at my place. Now some of them decided it was even better CT
